The Brownie Bar is owned and run by Dani and Antony, and like all the best stories… ours began completely by accident.
It all started at a simple garage sale. We baked a few batches of brownies to make the space look a little less empty — and maybe bring in a bit of extra cash. By the end of the day, we’d sold every single brownie… and barely any of the things we were actually trying to get rid of.
That was the moment something clicked.
With two young boys at home, Dani was deciding whether to return to teaching or try something new. The brownies answered the question for us. Within days we were registered with the local council, chose the name The Brownie Bar, and by that very next Sunday, we were selling at our first market.
What a ride it’s been since!
In just over a year, we’ve gone from a garage-sale experiment to popping up at local markets, opening our own shop, and now shipping our brownies and blondies nationwide.
We’re still a family-run business, still baking in small batches, and still pinching ourselves that this all began with a tray of brownies on a folding table in the garage.
